Open Field Runner Lamborghini introduces the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster

Subtle? Not at all—and that’s the point. You already know the aggressive lines of the Aventador, Lamborghini’s flagship model that was introduced to supersede the Murciélago in 2011. Meet the top-town version: the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster.

The engine hood on the Roadster differs from that of the coupé because of its central spinal column, with two pairs of hexagonal windows connected at the sides. The design is to help cool the engine—and to show off that V12 in all its glory. The powered rear windshield influences the flow of air in the vehicle and the volume levels you’ll hear from that V12; the attachable wind deflector also reduces onboard noise. Inside, it’s handmade Italian Sabbia Nefertem leather for the ultimate in luxury. Because no one likes going from 0-to-60 in three seconds, or hit a top speed of 216 mph, in anything less.
