Family Matters Shuttle the kids or hit the open road—the all-new Maserati Quattroporte is two cars in one.

What if you took a four-door ride, roomy enough for real-sized people, and popped a V8 engine—one hand-built in the Ferrari’s Maranello plant—under the hood? What if you prized graceful design lines over the boring and the boxy? What if you actually made a high-performance luxury sedan that served a family of four as well as it served solo expeditions?

If you did all that, you’d have the all-new Maserati Quattroporte. You’ll recognize some elements from previous Quattroportes: the front grill, the three side vents and the triangular C pillar. What’s new is the strong belt line that runs along the side, giving the new Quattroporte frameless doors and three side windows, forming a muscular and elegant stance. Inside, the design is clean and simple and appointed in wood and refined leather. Expect to do zero-to-60 in five seconds and a maximum speed of 190 mph. Though not with anyone in the back seat, of course.
