As a reward for their hard work in school, several students from the Women’s Academy of Excellence in the Bronx were treated to an evening of prom dress shopping at Lord and Taylor’s, courtesy of the PitCCh In Foundation.
PitCCh In’s Executive Director and AQ Contributing Editor, Amber Sabathia, brought the future college students to the store to help them select dresses for their special celebration. Athletes Quarterly Fashion Editor, Jason Rembert, was also on hand to help the young women find their own empowering sense of style.
“When I spoke at the school earlier this year, I could tell this was a special group,” Sabathia said. “To see them get so excited about what they wanted to wear, it was a thrill for me.”
